Position Overview

We are currently seeking a proactive and motivated Shift Operations Leader to oversee our site operations team. This role focuses on daily activities, safety, and quality, and will serve as a pivotal partner and leader at our customer's site.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety commitments according to OSHA, Symbotic, and our customer processes on a daily basis.
• Manage a dedicated team of hourly and salaried employees to effectively support customer operational hours.
• Implement standard operating procedures to enhance system performance and adapt to evolving business conditions.
• Oversee staffing requirements for the established operating pattern, including training, team development, and performance evaluations.
• Guide the team in efficiently addressing issues, developing standards and documentation for specific problem resolution.
• Foster team training and motivation to drive exceptional customer service levels.
• Engage consistently with the local customer management team and Symbotic headquarters.
• Monitor system performance and analyze trends to recommend solutions.
• Maintain defined KPI reporting in line with contractual obligations.
• Conduct accident investigations per company guidelines and document findings with sound judgment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of management experience in operations or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of automation, warehousing, and business processes.
• Proven leadership skills with a capacity to motivate cross-functional teams.
• Ability to interact with executives and customers to promote operational excellence.
• Self-sufficient in work, able to follow maintenance procedures and manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

• Work may involve navigating steep stairs routinely and walking up and down stairs in the automation structure.
• Work at heights and in areas with high railings may be required.
• Work environment may vary with temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
• Occasional work at construction sites requires PPE such as hard hats, safety vests, and more.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs; may move items up to 80 lbs.
• Must be able to stand or walk for 10-12 hours and frequently perform various physical movements.
• Work at heights up to 45 feet and in restrictive areas requiring stamina and agility.
