Your Opportunity
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Robotics Engineer to enhance our Routing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be instrumental in developing essential robot components that manage inventory flow into the Symbotic system and ensure effective order fulfillment to our customers. What We Do
The routing algorithm stands at the forefront of our technological innovations, unlocking future productivity gains for our mobile robots and the entire Symbotic system. Our Routing team has already achieved a remarkable 20-25% productivity improvement and continues to explore new frontiers in robotics engineering. As part of the Robot Perception and AI team, you’ll be working on Symbot, our flagship robot.
Your Responsibilities
Design and develop real-time, high-performance software for managing fleets of mobile robots.
Create and implement efficient data structures and algorithms, prioritizing simplicity and performance.
Contribute high-quality software to projects with substantial business impact.
Support our skilled teams in triaging and resolving production issues effectively.
Collaborate with team members to refine best practices and enhance quality standards.
Be prepared for occasional travel (up to 10%) as needed.
Your Qualifications
At least 8 years of professional experience in software development, particularly in algorithm development.
Expertise in path planning and trajectory optimization algorithms, along with a solid understanding of kinematics and dynamics.
Proficiency in an OOP language, with a preference for C#.
A strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Our Work Environment
Minimal travel (up to 10%) may be involved. A valid driver’s license is required for driving or flying to client locations.
Employees need to manage their travel expenses using a personal credit card, with reimbursement occurring bi-weekly.
